Louis Charles Vogt

Born in Cincinnati in 1864, and raised there, he studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy under Duveneck and later was a student in New York, likely with Harry Siddons Mowbray. From both teachers, he learned hard-edged realism. He maintained a studio in Cincinnati. He is often known for his street-landscapes and coastal views. Vogt died in 1939.
